The challenge
Persistent wastewater problems demand a system approach
FOG, solids and low-oxygen conditions can create recurring operational issues across lagoons and lift stations. Treating the cause can reduce reliance on repeated cleanouts and reactive chemical use.
Lagoon solids and sludge accumulation
Suspended solids and settled organic material can consume capacity and complicate lagoon management. Without adequate oxygen, mixing and biological activity, sludge can continue to build.
FOG buildup around pumps
Fats, oils and grease collect in lagoons, lift station wells and around pumping equipment. As grease coats pumps, floats and controls, it can interfere with cooling and reliable operation, contributing to overheating, emergency callouts and, in severe cases, pump failure.

Bioaugmentation and aeration as one system
In the lagoon, our Bio-Augmenter concentrate supplies beneficial bacteria and enzymatic activity that support aerobic and anaerobic digestion, nutrient consumption and nitrification. Paired with Koenders aeration for dissolved oxygen and mixing, the aim is to lower the organic load behind BOD and COD, subject to site conditions.
Automated lift-station dosing with XPT
Our patented device doses Lift Station XPT Cleaner into the lift station well at set intervals. XPT is formulated to emulsify the fats, oils and grease that collect around pumps and floats, so treatment stays consistent without staff handling product on every visit.
A low-chemical, publicly defensible approach
Treating the organic source biologically reduces reliance on aggressive chemical cleaning. Less corrective chemistry can also ease the downstream burden, with fewer additives to counteract and less dechlorination load, which supports responsible spending and clear communication with ratepayers. Actual results depend on site conditions.

How the automated cleaning system works
Our patented system doses cleaning concentrate into the lift station on an automatic schedule, with no daily site visits and no manual handling. Here is how the four components work together, from the water supply to the wet well.
1Programmable dosing controller
A battery-powered Koenders controller connects to a water supply and sets the schedule. Simple How Often and How Long dials let operators program automatic dosing intervals to match the lift station's load and run frequency, with manual and rain-delay modes for full control.

2Water-concentrate mixing unit
At each interval, water flows through the wall-mounted mixing unit. A filtered draw tube pulls Lift Station XPT Cleaner up from the pail and proportions it into the water stream, producing a consistently diluted cleaning solution every cycle.

3Concentrate supply
A sealed pail of concentrate sits beside the unit and feeds it through the draw tube. Run Lift Station XPT Cleaner to emulsify fats, oils and grease, or Odor Controller to target hydrogen sulfide and odor, so one system can address FOG or odor as the site needs.

4Wet-well dispensing nozzle
A hose carries the mixed solution to a dispensing nozzle in the lift station well, releasing it onto the fats, oils and grease that collect around the pumps and floats, upstream of the pumps where buildup starts.
